Occupational Health & Safety Policy

 

CDI Group Pty Ltd (CDI Group) provides commercial fitouts, construction services, refurbishment services and maintenance support for corporate and government organisations within Western Australia.

CDI Group is committed to ensuring management practices that are responsible and minimise any adverse health or safety impact from any of our workplace activities.

CDI Group recognises the importance of effective health and safety policies and procedures to minimise impact on individuals, the workplace and the community. CDI Group abides by the statutory acts and regulations and is committed to maintaining a high level of safety and health in the workplace.  CDI Group achieves this by:

  • providing safe systems of work;
  • ensuring safe plant and equipment;
  • comply with all applicable legal and other requirements which CDI Group has identified through the legal register;
  • complying with all appropriate legislation and standards particularly Occupational Safety & Health Act 1984 and Occupational Safety & Health Regulations 1996;
  • communicating and consulting with employees and subcontractors;
  • maintaining a safe environment for visitors and other non-employees; and
  • reporting of all hazardous situations, working conditions, accidents or injuries for corrective action and prevention.

Health and safety is a core value of CDI Group’s proactive health and safety culture whereby every employee and subcontractor is aware of their responsibilities and are encouraged to work as part of a team with a shared vision and objective to eliminate all work-related injuries and illnesses.  We have a OHS recognition program whereby health and safety initiatives and consistent performance are rewarded.

The company sets measurable objectives and targets for our health and safety performance that are based on our operational experience and regularly monitored for continuous improvement.  CDI Group is also committed to continual improvement of our health and safety processes and procedures through training, review, research and development and, through consultation with customers, employees, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

CDI Group Pty Ltd (CDI Group) provides commercial fitouts, construction services, refurbishment services and maintenance support for corporate and government organisations within Western Australia.  Projects are fully supervised to stringent Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.

CDI Group is committed to continual improvement through quality processes and procedures which are embedded into our business philosophy through the development of quality objectives, customer requirements and working closely with clients to meet their ongoing needs.

CDI Group employees are fully aware of our commitment to quality and understand the importance of compliance which extends to our services performed by sub-contractors.   CDI Group sources personnel with strong experience relevant to their specific role, such as relevant industry experience for construction management supervisors.  The company supports employees through ongoing training and personal development to meet our business commitments.

CDI Group complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements for construction including the appropriate management of subcontractors, goods and any other services.

CDI Group is committed to sustainable development and works to ensure our activities and selection of products and services enhance the environment in the workplaces we operate.  We are committed to environmental improvement and the prevention of pollution. We work with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to develop solutions that:

  • reduce waste and recycle waste where possible;
  • prevent pollutants; and
  • meet community aspirations for a sustainable future.

Within our operations we:

  • require employees and subcontractors to comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and standards through the site HSEQ management plans;
  • have a commitment to comply with all legal and other requirements that CDI Group has identified within its environmental aspects;
  • identify and manage environmental risks within our operations and apply best practice principles to the prevention of pollution;
  • manage the segregation of waste and removal of hazardous waste appropriately;
  • use natural resources responsibly to minimise the environmental impacts of our building processes;
  • implement and use management systems to plan, document, measure and monitor environmental performance including objectives and targets; and
  • communicate this policy to employees, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
