HWE Mining Fitout

The brief was to create a functional, modern working environment to accommodate a mining company. The location was a late 70’s warehouse in Osborne Park. The space presented its own challenges as the original building was never intended to accommodate an office environment of this size.

CDI Group was engaged to not only create the fitout, but also to transform the existing building to accommodate the requirements of HWE Mining. This included all new services, such as electrical and lighting, mechanical/HVAC, hydraulic requirements and fire detection. We also installed a new ceiling and upgraded the existing external fittings in order to meet the new requirements of the client.

The existing building shell required thorough investigation to establish any latent conditions and structural limitations, and to ensure that the works being carried out would not only meet the client’s requirements but also not cause any knock-on effects to the existing building. As with all CDI Group projects, a safety plan was created and discussed with the client prior to work commencing on site. The project was a success, with CDI Group going on to complete further work with HWE Mining at a variety of locations around WA.
