Garry opened CDI in 1990, formerly known as Complete Design Interiors. Today, CDI is one of Perth’s largest privately owned construction, fit-out and property maintenance companies. Garry has an intimate knowledge of all aspects of the industry and has made a significant contribution to many of the buildings and offices that you see in Perth CBD and beyond today. Garry contributes his company’s growth and success to building strong relationship and always delivering on promises.

He is passionate about building a company culture that strives to bring out the best in people and to value their contributions. Safety, Environment and Quality are always paramount for Garry.

Jaco Van Staden

Jaco has a wealth of commercial, industrial and residential property development and construction experience spanning across Australia and South Africa, including managing construction projects in remote WA. Jaco’s long-standing relationships with local and indigenous contractors also provides CDI with strategic partnerships with local contractors and suppliers in the communities where we work.

His focus on building exceptional teams with great culture, combined with practical experience makes for a great fit with our team of passionate professionals who continue to provide our market leading services to all our clients. Managing Project teams, his remit extends from assisting with tenders and client liaison, through to ensuring the highest project HSE, quality, reporting and HR standards. Jaco is a Registered Building Practitioner in WA, holds a BSC in Construction Management and serves on the Board of a not-for-profit Aged-Care Facility.

Dean Gerber

Dean has a proven record of seamlessly orchestrating complex construction projects well within set budgets and tight time constraints. He is highly proficient in safe & high-quality building and effective management of tasks and personnel.

Dean is qualified Structural Engineer and Registered Building Practitioner with over 10 years’ experience in construction management roles. He has worked on a diverse range of projects including commercial, health, non-process infrastructure, industrial, high end fit-outs and defence sectors.

Mark Bowman

Mark is a time served carpenter and joiner, which provides him with the edge when viewing jobs, finding solutions and quoting works. Mark has a hands-on approach to his work and possesses a great deal of knowledge across the construction industry in Perth/WA. Mark leads a team of CDI Technicians by way of his unique management style. His solid leadership and technical skills aid him in providing business solutions whilst maintaining a high level of commitment and quality service to clients.

Mark strives for excellence and is always determined to leverage his qualifications and experience to support the company objectives in his management role position. Mark believes it is never too late to learn and has recently completed and gained his Diploma in Building & Construction along with many other building certifications and qualifications, providing him with the depth of knowledge to deliver successfully. Mark holds the Building Licence for CDI.

Chris Harvey

Chris has 15 years experience within the industry, completing a variety of commercial projects across WA. Chris has acquired a range of skills and technical knowledge to be able to deliver fast and complex projects on time, to budget and with a hands-on approach. He enjoys collaborating with clients, consultants and subcontractors to deliver safe and high quality projects, whilst also ensuring an enjoyable and successful experience for all parties involved in the projects.

Many of CDI’s projects involve working in conjunction with several different contractors in ‘live environments’ with short time frames and across multiple floors within high-rise buildings. Having worked in various premium CBD buildings on mulitple projects, Chris understands how to deliver success whilst adhering to building guidelines.

Peter Fairbairn

With 12 years’ experience ranging from Project management, Contract Administration and Estimation across a variety of industry sectors incuding retail, hospitality and commercial workplace enhanced by previously having worked as a client-side Project Manager, Peter has acquired a range of skill sets that he applies to all tasks to ensure fast and accurate pricing, whilst maintaining the client’s requirements, design and budget expectations.

Peter has been delivering costings for prestigious clients such as Mineral Resources, Rio Tinto, Anglo Gold Ashanti, Dexus, BHP and many others through his solid understanding of how construction methods impact costs. He has consequently developed the skills to negotiate successful proejct outcomes. Peter is a valued member of the CDI family whose passion and energy is constantly projected onto others.
